JWC hosts first Charity Golf Tourney in Canyon Lake     The Canyon Lake Jr. Women's Club (JWC) will host its first annual Charity Golf Tournament on March 27 at the Canyon Lake Golf Course. The cost is $100 per person. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a putting contest and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The event will end with a banquet dinner, drawings and live auction. According to Chairperson Krissy Cissell, some of the fun things planned are a chance to win a golf cart with a hole-in-one contest, a longest drive contest, closest-to-the-pin and many more. More details will be released closer to the event.     The JWC is known for its philanthropic efforts throughout the community and surrounding area. One of the goals they hope to accomplish through the tournament and other events is to raise money to help support new playground equipment at Indian Beach.     Anyone who would like to participate as a player or by sponsoring a hole, donating a prize for the drawing, the auction or for a tee prize is asked to contact Krissy at 834-5940, or e-mail canyonlakejwc@gmail.com.
