The Trauma Intervention Programs, Inc. (TIP) is looking for volunteers to work in the Southwest Riverside County area. Serving the cities of Lake Elsinore, Hemet, Menifee, Murrieta, Perris, Sun City, Temecula, and Wildomar, TIPÊ is looking for men, women and teens willing to be volunteer crisis responders to help those emotionally injured in any event or disaster, to comfort families after the death or illness of a friend or family member, to support survivors of a suicide, to assist with traumatized accident victims, to support emergency personnel, and provide emotional and practical support to victims of crime or assault.
Wayne Fortin, TIP founder says there are five aspects of the program he wants to stress. First, its simplicity. A grass roots program of neighbors helping neighbors, TIP is simply a human way to make a difference in the lives of others. Second, the volunteers make a huge impact on those they help. Third, being a TIP volunteer is never boring. He states, "If you join TIP you will be joining an organization with high standards which values excellence in everything we do."
Fourth, TIP volunteers are in the communities helping in the singular tragedies that occur daily and lastly, as volunteers, they come because they want to help, not because they have to respond.
